General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs)


1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) apply to all orders placed by consumers (§ 13 German Civil Code – BGB) via the online shop “Maison Sorelée”.

A consumer within the meaning of these T&Cs is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business, or profession (§ 13 BGB).

3. Conclusion of Contract

3.1 The subject matter of the contract is the sale of goods. The product presentations in the online shop do not constitute legally binding offers but are non-binding online catalogues.

3.2 By placing the selected goods in the shopping cart and completing the order via the “buy” button, you submit a binding offer to purchase. An automatic order confirmation is sent by email immediately after the order is placed. This confirmation does not yet constitute acceptance of the contract.

3.3 The contract is concluded upon acceptance of your offer, which occurs either through shipment of the goods, receipt of payment, or a separate order confirmation.

3.4 All communication, including contract documents and order information, is conducted exclusively via email. You are responsible for ensuring that the email address provided during checkout is correct and accessible.


4. Prices and Shipping Costs

All prices stated are final prices excluding shipping costs. Shipping costs are displayed separately during the ordering process and are borne by the customer.


5. Delivery

Delivery is made to the address provided by the customer. Deliveries are made within Germany and, where applicable, other EU countries.

Unless otherwise stated, the delivery time within Germany is approximately 3–5 business days after receipt of payment.


6. Payment Terms

Payment processing is carried out exclusively via the payment methods processed via Shopify / the online shop.  Direct payments to the seller (e.g. bank transfer outside the system) are not accepted.

Available payment methods may include:

  • Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • PayPal
  • Shop Pay
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay
  • Invoice / Installment Payment (if offered)

Notes:
By using third-party payment providers, you agree to their respective terms and conditions (e.g. PayPal, Shopify Payments).

If payment by invoice or installment is offered, we reserve the right to conduct a credit check. Data will be used exclusively for this purpose.


7. Right of Withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal under the conditions set out in the withdrawal policy provided separately. Details can be found in the cancellation policy.


8. Warranty

Statutory warranty rights apply. Claims for defects are governed by the applicable legal provisions.


9. Retention of Title

The goods remain our property until full payment has been received.


10. Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for Online Dispute Resolution (ODR):

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.


11. Final Provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

Should any provision of these T&Cs be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

We hereby again refer to the Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR). Consumers may use this platform as a contact point for out-of-court resolution of disputes arising from online purchase contracts. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings via this platform.
